Tempering

Toughening is a process that is performed on components as following heat treatment operations after hardening. Tempering is carried out in the temperature range of 150°C to 650°C, as requested and according to the type of material used.
This process is carried out in air furnaces, in protected atmosphere furnaces or in salt baths.
